Welsh Surnames & the Welsh Language
Hey everyone!
It’s been a long time, but the next video is out! This video looks into Welsh surnames and how they relate to the history of the Welsh language. I focus especially on a statement I see all the time online that “Jones isn’t a Welsh surname because the Welsh alphabet doesn’t have a ‘J’ in it.” Does that statement have any merit? Is it even correct? What letters are in the Welsh alphabet anyway and what does that have to do with surnames? You’ll find answers to these questions, and more!
