Just started following so this is the first of your videos I've watched. Even though I'm not specifically researching Welsh ancestors at this time (though I have them apparently), this is so fascinating to me and such a well-done video. I imagine the general point about cultural differences impacting how to do effective research is true for many different places. Thanks for sharing your knowledge!

I hear genealogists say all the time, "You have to understand the culture of the place you're researching." But I don't think we often give specific examples of why and how that's important, so I'm glad the video was helpful in that regard! :D
